Human sez: Our model and spokesperson/cat, Mischief was an alley cat who participated in the local Catch & Release program (thank you FixNation.org). She sports a jaunty ear tip which works well with her Rock Star persona. She apparently didn’t read the instructions about catch and release because she started hanging around my back yard. I had a full house at the time with two elderly cats and she was quite respectful of the boys…until the day I came home and found her sleeping in the middle of my bed. Yes, I had been adopted. It took me about a week to figure out how she had broken in, turns out she found the side gap to the window AC and squeezed in there. Note that this was on top story window, with a balcony that didn’t include the A?C unit. I was so impressed with her ingenuity that I gave her in & out privileges and created a true cat door so that she would not need to straddle the balcony to get to the window sill. She’s a one human cat, which is very different for me, my other (since departed) cats were very social with guests. She bolts at the sound of people knocking at the door., yet can somehow tell the difference between a delivery person and a guest who may actually come inside.
